The Family and Consumer Sciences program in Cherokee County consists of research-based food programming in the following focus areas: Healthy Eating, Physical Activity, Chronic Disease Prevention, Food Safety, Local Food Systems, Food Security, Food Preservation, and NC Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed).
Marlana Baker serves as the Local Food Coordinator and Extension Community Association Liaison for Cherokee County.
